Creating a Logotype

Click the arrow below to see the process unfold

Creating a logotype involves understanding your brand, researching competitors, brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts, digitizing the best ones in vector software (like Illustrator), refining with feedback, and preparing final files, focusing on simplicity, scalability, and relevance to your audience and brand identity.

  • Mabel's mini pies
"This mini pie food truck project is my most accomplished work to date, showcasing a complete brand development journey from initial concept to full execution. I developed the branding, menu design, and truck graphics, and I remain deeply committed to bringing this concept to life." - Rachel Lindsey

“Variety is the Spice of Life and the Spice of the Artist”
– Robert Krajecki
Professor, American Academy of Art and
amazing Watercolor Artist

This project below was a fun one because I had to source images and fonts for an article already written. I love this part in the design process: researching fonts, images and colors to create a design (into a single-page piece using Adobe Photoshop for the images and InDesign to create the layout).

Professor Jeremy Huggins (College of DuPage) said that “I nailed it!” and he couldn’t get over how I found the spaceman image that tied in so nicely with this piece.

I remember his encouraging words to this day.
